Mercedes reveals 2010 F1 car livery - Andrew Noakes - Motoring Writer

These are the first official pictures of the Mercedes Mercedes Grand Prix F1 livery for 2010, applied to a mildly-modified 2009 Brawn BGP001.

Over 600 guests gathered at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart to see the launch of the team and the unveiling of the new Silver Arrows livery.

The audience included 200 journalists and 200 Mercedes-Benz employees from the company's manufacturing plants in Untertürkheim and Sindelfingen, 100 of whom were invited for their outstanding performances and 100 selected through a popular internal draw.

The new silver colour scheme continues Mercedes' traditional racing livery which dates back to 1934 – when Mercedes Grand Prix cars ran unpainted to save weight. As a reminder, the nose of the 2010 Mercedes F1 car, the MGP W01, will be raw carbon fibre.
