Shanghai: World Financial Center - Andrew Noakes - Motoring Writer

Shanghai's World Financial Center is the tallest building in China, and houses the highest observatory in the world. The 100th-floor observation deck – complete with glass floor – is 474m (1555ft) above ground level.

Shot through the window of the observatory, hence the reflections at the top of the picture. This is Shanghai's financial district, with the Pudong TV tower (with the red globe at the top) in the distance. The building we're looking down on is the 88-storey Jin Mao tower, which until 2008 was China's tallest building!

Observation deck has glass walls and glass panels in the floor, if you really want to look straight down to the ground 100 storeys below.
