I have a motoring picture library which extends to more than 20,000 images in a variety of formats – black and white prints, colour prints, slides and digital. This archive includes thousands of pictures I've taken myself and also a large collection of manufacturers' press images.

My images

Pictures I've taken are available for all editorial, advertising and other uses. Reproduction fees are charged based on the image and the rights required.

These images cover a wide variety of new cars, classic cars, motor shows, club events and motorsport. New images are being added all the time.

Press images

Manufacturers' press pictures are for editorial use only, not for advertising or commercial work (which in some cases includes books). My library of press pictures includes material from the early 1900s to the present day, but most of the images are from the 1990s or more recent.

I don't charge reproduction fees for press images, because the copyright is not mine to sell – the rights belong to the manufacturer. The pictures have been released for editorial use.

I do charge for picture research. So why should you pay me to find you a photo instead of going to the manufacturer and getting the same image for nothing? For two reasons. First, I have pictures in my collection which the manufacturer no longer has in their own archive – not all manufacturers maintain comprehensive archives. Second, in addition to my own collection I have plenty of contacts at press offices and other archives and experience tells me where to look for a given image. I can make the process of finding the motoring images you need quicker and simpler.
