HMC freezes prices until Jan 3

The Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire is maintaining 2010 prices for its first two days of opening in 2011, on January 2 and 3.

The Centre has the world’s largest collection of historic British cars with over 180 vehicles on display, along with interactive displays charting the history and workings of the motor vehicle in Britain. There are free guided tours twice a day.

The collection includes many unique experimental and prototype vehicles including Rover's gas turbine cars from the 1950s and 1960s, sectioned vehicles built for motor show displays, stillborn projects such as the TR7-based Triumph Lynx and concept cars such as William Towns' Minissima (below).

Entry fees on January 2 and 3 2011 (normal 2011 prices in brackets):

  • Adult £9 (£11)
  • Concession £8 (£9)
  • Child (5-16) £7 (£8)
  • Family (2 adults and up to 3 children) £28 (£34)
