Alfa’s sharp-suited 159 sports saloon gets a choice of two new turbo engines from the Autumn of 2009 – a 200bhp petrol motor in the 1750 TBi, and a 170bhp diesel in the 2.0JTDM.

The new diesel has more power and torque than the outgoing engine but is said to offer greater fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions.
